Guild Projects

Current Guild Project

We started a row by row quilt in January 2020. This is a fun project for a large group since it lets everyone be very creative with color choice and interpretation of the row pattern.

2020 Row By Row Quilt 60” by 78” without borders

Row 1 – 5 Snail Trail blocks at 12” finished
Row 2 – 10 Flying Geese blocks at 6” finished
Row 3 – 6 Log Cabin blocks at 10” finished
Row 4 – 15 Hourglass blocks at 4” finished
Row 5 – 5 Card Trick blocks at 12” finished
Row 6 – 10 Pinwheel blocks at 6” finished
Row 7 – 6 Maple Leaf blocks at 10” finished
Row 8 – 15 Half Square Triangle blocks at 4” finished
Row 9 – 5 Sailboat blocks at 12” finished

12” finished means that the block will be constructed at 12.5”, then sewn together in a row. Each row will end up being 60.5” in length, so make sure they are correct! I found that out the hard way with one of my rows when I tried to sew it to the next one.

This is a relatively free form quilt in that you can choose the block yourself, as long as it’s the correct size for the row.
